How many session is enough for me? 

"How many sessions per week is good for me?" This is one of the most common questions that we get before a new member signs up with us at Prime Fight Gym. Of course if you can come more often, it will be better for you. It is the same like going to school, you need to come everyday to learn more and practice what's being taught. How many sessions is good enough, depends on yourself. If you have a busy schedule and can only commit to once a week in the gym for a muay thai session aka thai boxing, well that's good enough. But you won't be able to see fast progression in your muay thai technique, and even your fitness. If your aim is to get fit, and you can only commit once a week, I suggest u train muay thai once a week at the same time set aside at least 30 minutes on other days to do some fitness workouts. Wake up 30 minutes earlier, or sleep 30 minutes later. Just squeeze in a short workout. You will see the progression of your fitness faster this way. 2 to 3 times a week is where you can see progressions in your fitness and technique, but not to compare to fighters. 3 times a week allows your body to still be able to remember what you learn and apply it during training. Learning muay thai requires technique, and most of the time it's muscle memory. So the more you practice, the easier it gets, the lesser you have to think about it. And if you are above 35 years old, this is a good number of training days as it allows you to have enough recovery in between training days. If you have the intention to compete, 4 days or more is what I recommend. Commit more days if possible, but set aside 1 day for recovery. These 6 days of training, try to have a more versatile training which includes muay thai tecniques, sparrings, strength trainings. If you are already in the Fight Team, then you don't really have to worry about the trainings, as I believe all fight coaches should already have planned a training routine for the fighters.
